12/15 Speech and Debate Competition

Carver’s Speech and Debate team competed at the Dekaney Annual Christmas Competition. The competition was fruitful for the team, as seven trophies were won. Yasaar Ellis, who competed in Novice Extemporaneous, Oral Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, and Impromptu took home four trophies. He received 1st in Novice Extemporaneous and Impromptu, 2nd in Novice Dramatic Performance, and 3rd in Oral Interpretation. Narius Nedd received 1st in Prose. Narius and Keishawn Cornett together receive second in Duet Acting. Chyanne Davis and Kailyen Johns both did their best in prose, poetry, and impromptu.
