Carmen Jones the Musical

As the year is picking up speed, the annual Panther Player's musical is taking off as well. This year, the award winning theatre department at Carver High School will be producing Carmen Jones, a work based on a 19th century Spanish opera called Carmen, written by Georges Bizet. The adaptation being performed here was written by Oscar Hammerstein in the 1950’s and won a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture in 1955.

Rehearsals have been taking off this week, and the whole cast has been working hard to get the musical up on its feet.
