Carver High School students competed in the annual academic UIL Competition at Aldine High School. There were two competitions: Speech and Debate and Journalism. Everyone placed in at least one event. Mr. Cobb, the professional communications teacher at Carver, is very proud of his students. “All the hard work they put in is coming to fruition,” he said with tears in his eyes. Laeticia Guenoun said she didn’t know what the competition was about but was very glad she participated. The team won a total of 14 trophies. Below are the results.
