The first step to maintaining a high GPA is thinking. Lots of students tend to follow curriculum without giving it a single thought. To avoid this, students should make sure they understand what the teachers is communicating. DO NOT JUST COPY. Along with smart thinking, students should also make sure they stay focused in class. From 7-3, focusing is key! Students are placed in school to receive an education; To be educated, they must be focused.
Another factor that plays a role in getting a high GPA is staying organized. With endless assignments coming at students left and right, this may be hard. It’s best to keep a planner or notes nearby to keep track of any or all assignments that will be due. Staying organized will even help with a student’s time management. High schoolers struggle with procrastination and the deadly disease - Senioritis. Managing time and due dates help students stay on top of their work.
If the tips above aren’t helping as much as needed, a student can always stay after school for tutorials or work for extra credit. This is similar to working overtime at a job. If you aren’t satisfied, you can do more for a little extra compensation on the side. Also, remember it doesn’t hurt to ask for help. Students may not even need tutorials or extra credit as long as they are engaged and asking questions.
As long as students think, focus, organize, and engage themselves in the classroom, they’ll definitely maintain a high GPA.
