On Saturday, October 6th, two Carver organizations came together to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure.

The Pink Panthers, sponsored by Mrs. Caldwell, and the National Honor Society, sponsored by Mr. Tanig and Mrs. Trotti, volunteered to help sponsors get set up before the race. Previously, the Carver group has worked one of the many water stations scattered along the track, but this years community service expedition was successful as well; the students helped many of the booths set up their stands at Sam Houston Park and later in handing out informational and promotional materials.

The group of about 20 students represented the Carver community well, in addition to helping their respective organizations give back and serve the people of Houston.
